Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, USA
The Palmetto Plant Eaters Club will host their third vegan festival (aka VegFest) on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at the Shelter Cove Community Park on Hilton Head Island from 10am to 5pm.
LCVF17 attracted approximately 1,000 attendees from Beaufort County, Charleston & Savannah, as well as from North Carolina and Florida. This year we are anticipating at least 1,500 attendees.
Our goal is to teach & show how fun & easy it is to eat & live vegan in the Lowcountry and why you would like to do so for health transformation, compassion for all animals and people, and carbon footprint reduction. Learn more about our club here: PalmettoPlantEaters.com
This event will take place rain or shine. Bring tents & umbrellas if necessary. Entry to the event is free & open to the public. Vendors will sell food & merchandise directly.

The Lowcountry Boil Band
Näytiv
The Lowcountry Boil Band (Facebook) hails from the "hills" of the Lowcountry lead by fiddle player Jevon Daly. Lowcountry Boil is also composed of guitar, upright bass, and banjo, and have been together over 14 years. They have a great repertoire of country bluegrass songs like Rocky Top and play Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams Sr., The Beatles, and some Neil Young. They also do some original songs about the area and are funny and involve the audience.
Näytiv (Facebook) members ranging in age from 15 to 17 are Ben Hughey, Grayson Lentz, Davis Lentz, and Zach Stevens, but don’t call them a “boy band.” That description might fit their good looks, but it doesn’t begin to touch upon their dynamic sound and unique talent. Näytiv’s cover material includes a wide range of rock styles and sounds that pre-date the band members by years or even decades. At any of their shows, you’ll hear an eclectic mix of songs from classic rock bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Grateful Dead, and Pearl Jam.
LCVF18 is funded by sponsors, donors, and for-profit exhibitors, and invites non-profit exhibitors free of charge. All food, merchandise, and educational material must be vegan, about veganism, about liberation and wellness for all animals and people, and/or about environmental/ecological conservation.
